This award will be given in the memory of 14th century great poet “Raidhu”. Based on geographical description and the findings of archaeologists, it can be said that the great poet “Raidhu” was born in the “Padmavatipurval Jain Dynasty” somewhere in “Madhya Pradesh” around “Gwalior”. He was also an expert scholar of Sanskrit. He had a deep knowledge of Indian history and culture. The ability he had to make the society and the nation aware of literature, music, art and duty is rare elsewhere. In the history of Indian literature, no other poet is known to have produced such a vast literature and had knowledge of almost all the major oriental languages. The name of the great poet Raidhu's grandfather was “Devraj” and his father's name was “Harisingh”. His mother was “Vijayashree”. He had two brothers named as “Bahol” and “Maahan Singh”.
